Icelandic representation at the Western China International Fair (WCIF) in Chengdu

Ms. Inga Dora Petursdottir, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Iceland in Beijing, attended the opening ceremony of Western China International Fair (WCIF) in Chengdu and visited the 3 exhibiting Icelandic companies on May 25th .   

The 3 Icelandic companies, i.e. Ossur, BioEffect and Ocean Mix, presented at the Expo their respective premium products, such as prosthetics and sports protective gear, cosmetics series, and dried Icelandic sea cucumber and soup of Icelandic sea cucumber and Yunnan mushroom, aiming at tapping into the great potential in the vast Western China region. 

WCIF was acclaimed by the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry as playing a significant role as a vital window in promoting trade, investment, and opening-up in China's western regions. The fair is reported to have brought together more than 3,000 companies from 62 countries and regions.
