Nordic foreign ministers at the Nato Summit call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire
Joint statement by the Nordic foreign ministers at the NATO Summit in the Hague on 25 June 2025.
In their meeting at the NATO Summit, the Nordic foreign ministers called for an unconditional ceasefire in Ukraine as soon as possible, paving the way for negotiating a just and lasting peace. To reach that, we need two things:
- continued support for Ukraine - the five Nordic countries have already committed to over 15 billion USD of military support in 2025;
- increased pressure on the Russian war economy - a major and transatlantically coordinated sanctions package accompanied by tariffs on Russia.
