Ambassador Attends the Official Release of Sino-Icelandic Poetry Collection

Ambassador Thorir Ibsen attended the official publication of the book of poetry entitled "Dance of Ice & Fire - Bilingual Poetry and Painting Collection of China and Iceland" by poets from Iceland and China at the 31st Beijing International Book Fair. On the occasion Ambassador Ibsen welcomed the book as a valuable contribution to the cultural relations of Iceland and China. The publication coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Embassy of Iceland in China which gives the book a more profound commemorative significance.

The book contains poems by Mr. Zhao Lihong, Chinese poet and writer and Mr. Ragnar Baldursson, Icelandic scholar and former diplomat and it is illustrated with the paintings of the Icelandic-Chinese visual artist Ms. Eirdís Ragnarsdottir. With the use of poetry and painting as mediums, the book celebrates harmony in our difference. The book is published by the Fujian Education Press.
